Meaghan & Jinx

Meet Jinx & Meaghan. 

Isn't he just absolutely gorgeous?  Meaghan works with my brother, and I was fortunate enough to photograph her and Jinx together.  Jinx is sick, and despite his young age, he doesn't have much time left.  So my brother and a few other work colleagues asked if I would photograph Meaghan and her little guy... I was so honoured.  He is such a beautiful dog to look at and just so sweet natured.

When I was spending time with Meaghan, it made me think of how much time we really do spend with our pets.  When I was growing up, my parents (when I was 7) got us a dog, and we called him Teddy.  He was my best friend.  I loved Teddy so much, even when I did step in his dog poop twice, inside, right after i cleaned my foot.  He slept on my bed every night, when I came home from school in California at breaks, he was my little buddy.  It wrecked all of our hearts when he passed, after a very long life.  My favourite part about my beloved Teddy was his underbite- he literally looked like he was doing the Elvis Presley lip all the time.. ha ha.
